From the funky moves of Mark Morris and Bill T. Jones, to tap, hip-hop, and even acrobats, Dance Umbrella showcases international dancers from all over the world at the Emerson Majestic Theater. The focus of the Dance Umbrella is to feature contemporary, culturally diverse dancers in a cozy, 976-seat setting. The Emerson Majestic Theater is just that--majestic. Artist William de Leftwich graces the lobby with six dreamy murals, and the heavenly gold angels greet you at your seat. The Emerson has no beams, or other means of support for the balconies, which means that you get a great view no matter where you are seated.
