Description and Basic Information ::
|
For a soothing, romantic night of pure classical music, head over to Symphony Hall. Located near the Prudential Center, Symphony Hall is nothing special to look at from the outside, but wait: once you get inside, the over 2,500 seat hall wins you over with its elegant New England charm. The Italian Renaissance design of gold and brass is subtle and lovely. The seats, unfortunately, are small and uncomfortable, but every seat in the house offers a full view of the stage.
Symphony Hall is a world-class performance venue and the place to go for classical music. You can enjoy the sounds of the Boston Pops here, headed by the young popular conductor, Keith Lockhart. The Pops play light classical and pop music. Or, you can catch the famous Seiji Ozawa’s act before he leaves the Boston Symphony Orchestra to conduct the Vienna State Opera this summer. |
